and Inflammation (GI2) Drug Discovery Unit at Takeda is building a
new team of experienced, innovative, and collaborative researchers
to deliver an industry-leading portfolio of drugs for various
gastrointestinal, autoimmune, and inflammatory diseases with high
unmet medical needs. We seek a skilled Research Senior Associate to
join our biology and cross-functional discovery teams -and create
novel drug candidates.
- Apply scientific and technical expertise in immunology and/or
cell biology to drive drug discovery programs within our team, in
matrixed collaboration with other Takeda scientists, and external
partners. -
- Drive an inclusive, open, and effective culture in a fast
growing drug discovery group.Accountabilities: - - - - - - - - - -

- Independently conducts complex experiments within a project
scope, exercising judgement to evaluate a variety of technical
factors, and obtain optimum solutions
- Independently provides work group with technical guidance and
problem resolution related to assay development
- Utilizes assigned literature to increase knowledge base and
implement improvements
- Organize time and plan specifics of project related work with
oversight from manager or project representative
- Prepares and presents technical information at department
meetings
- Troubleshoots non-routine methods, instrumentation, or software
issues and recommends systems, processes, or changes within project
scope to meet objectives.Education & Competencies (Technical and
Behavioral):
- MS in a scientific discipline with 1+ years' experience, or BS
with 3+ years' experience
- Expertise in at least one of the following assay methods:
ELISA, MSD/Luminex, Western blot, qPCR, flow cytometry, ChIP
- Experience with cell culture, including isolation, culture, and
analysis of primary immune cell subsets
- Direct experience with the principles, models, and pathways of
autoimmunity, inflammation, and/or fibrosis
- Experience developing and/or evaluating small molecule,
biologic and/or nucleic acid therapeutics
- Demonstrates strong organizational and project management
skills and effective written and verbal communication skills. -This
position is currently classified as "onsite" in Cambridge, MA.

Location:Boston, MAU.S. Base Salary Range:$84,000.00 -
$132,000.00The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range
for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a
variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual
applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific
and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or
other professional licenses held, and the location in which the
applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the
job.---The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with
state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
-U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or
long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to
participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and
