Assistant Director Residential Services - Shared LivingManchester, NH, USA Req #6875Friday, October 11, 2024Since 1936, Easterseals New Hampshire has provided exceptional services to ensure we change the way the world defines and views disability by making profound, positive differences in people's lives every day.Easterseals NH services include early childhood centers of excellence, medical rehabilitation, camping and recreation, vocational services, senior services, substance use treatment, adult day programs, community-based services, individual service options, transportation services, residential service options, and veterans services.In our Community Based Services program we're seeking an Assistant Director of Residential Services in our Shared Living program.Primary duties:

  • Conduct monthly site visits as required by state regulations.
  • Assist Community Living Managers in overtime management and organization. Collect, review, and analyze overtime reports on a bi-weekly basis to ensure programs stay within the allotted budget.
  • Assist in the oversight and management of individual budgets and position control statewide for Shared Living Homes in conjunction with the Director and Project Director. Includes working with the Director and Community Living Managers on schedule development and ensuring coverage needs are being met.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, home care providers, families, guardians, and funders.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing standards as well as department and agency policies and procedures.
  • Assist in training Program Managers on state certifications and state regulations.
  • Establish and maintain a presence within each regional office.
  • Identify specialized services needs for clients and make appropriate referrals when necessary.
  • Understand Agency and Grant budget systems and develop and monitor budgets.
  • Assist Director in the recruitment and training of all Community Living Managers.
  • Identify and develop solutions concerning safety risks and conduct program services in a safe, appropriate manner.
  • Communicate effectively and encourage open communication ensuring updated agency, departmental, and customer information is distributed appropriately.
  • Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Provide on-call services and respond to emergency needs.
  • Ensure our customers are consistently treated with dignity and respect.
  • Provide support, advice, and guidance to Community Living Managers.
  • Assist Community Living Managers with state certification preparation.
  • Review and edit reports/program documentation and provide feedback to ensure quality reporting to funders.
  • Attend meetings statewide with Area Agencies.
  • Attend meetings statewide to support Community Living Managers and assist with high priority clients.
  • Assist Director in developing new components to improve programming.
  • Assist Director in RFP process to increase clientele population.
  • Assist Community Living Managers with staffing needs, as required, occasionally staffing.
  • Provide coverage for client caseloads in vacant positions and during manager use of PTO and adhere to Community Living Manager responsibilities.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field.
  • Ability to contribute to a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to travel statewide.
